And this is how we made it:
The two-tone Melissas choker – 51 grams and 2 mm thick, width 6 to 9 mm – a successful combination of brass and copper… The classic choker in a very old design, here again new: two-tone made of brass and copper.

The choker is slightly elastic. We also recommend a precise fit here. See taking measurements. Adjustment is possible with little effort

Easy to make – 6 round rods, 3 each made of copper and 3 of brass, 1.6 mm diameter, are twisted together so that one strand of brass and one strand of copper are visible alternately. The twisted strand is sawn to the correct length and the end pieces are connected with a silver brazing alloy.

Then clean the choker in sulphuric acid, remove the remaining soft slag with running water and a brass brush. Flat forging, polishing, deburring the end pieces. Pressed into the round shape, polished… and finished. The choker is polished again, wrapped, put in a bubble envelope, address label with the tracking code on it … and off to the post office … and then the choker will soon be in your letterbox…

The choker looks fine, delicate, definitely handmade. Slight traces of forging at the ends. It is waterproof. Wearable for any occasion, especially for sporting events, golf, tennis…not suitable for hard work. Goes well with jeans, sweatshirts, even with a little black dress…. Finely polished, the surface easily absorbs even minor scratches, just like an old silver bangle.

Determining the right size: A good size is your clothing size, as exact as possible, e.g. 38 / 40, even better whole numbers, e.g. 37 or 39… If you also enter your neck circumference in the “Remarks” field, this is very helpful for production. Sometimes the correct size is only possible after trying it on, so the same applies here as for all our jewelry: Feel free to wear this choker (as well as all other jewelry) to try it on, No problem with exchanges or returns. Exchange or return also for worn pieces of jewelry, even with signs of wear.

Brass, the one metal, is a copper-zinc alloy, one of the first alloys of mankind. The alchemists of the Middle Ages tried to produce gold from brass…- which of course is not possible, but their experiments resulted in the bronzing – brass is antiseptic, an interesting material. And the second metal, copper… well, copper is good for you… Although this has not been scientifically proven, many people report that copper jewelry helps them with inflammation, muscle tension, joint pain and rheumatic complaints.
