Large cross … a rustic, hand-forged cross with a neodymium magnet

This is how we made it:
a solid round copper rod, 6mm diameter, divided into 4 individual pieces, which are then TIG welded in the middle (a fusion welding process in which the end pieces are fused together in an arc. We use helium as an inert gas here, which enables us to produce an extremely precise weld seam – only the copper is melted here, so no other metal is added)… then clean the weld seam in 20% sulphuric acid, remove the slag with a brass brush. A depression was left at the lower end to accommodate the neodymium magnet. Then forged, the forging marks are clearly visible along the entire length. Then insert the powerful neodymium magnet and forge the opening

Please note: Our neodymium magnets are unusually strong. If you wear a pacemaker, you must refrain from wearing magnetic jewelry.

The cross looks handmade, traces of forging are clearly visible. The copper cross can be worn as a pendant; we supply a leather cord and a small ringlet. Wearable – very durable, withstands the toughest wear and tear.
