Chinese Signs of the Zodiac

The Chinese zodiac signs are repeated in a cycle of 12 years. Each of these years is assigned to an animal, which is known to have certain characteristics. The Chinese horoscope focuses on their interpretation and demonstrating people's inclinations or talents - it does not allow a look into the future.
Many Chinese couples try to marry or have children in a particularly positive zodiac sign.

Since the Chinese lunar year does not match the solar calendar, the Chinese New Year is celebrated between January 20 and February 21 of each year. So, for example, anyone born on January 18, 1974 was born not in the year of the tiger but of the buffalo.
